More Mixed Company Fun!
Jenn’s Note – So, I am sad to say, the end of January is also bringing Allie’s last post as a dt member at Nani ke Ola. She has been so wonderful and fun to work with. We tried really hard to trick her into staying, like postponing it another month, or year LOL
Everyone on this DT has their own individual talents and we all inspire each other and it has been great to watch everyone grow these past 5 months and get more and more creative. I truly hope everyone has enjoyed Allie’s inspiring layouts, and we welcome her back as a guest designer anytime (Hint Hint Allie!!!) We also wish Allie good luck and good wishes on her other scrappy commitments and I know I am following her blog to see what lovely things she creates in the future. Many hugs to Allie – XOXO
Hi everyone! I’m so excited to be sharing two more layouts using the Mixed Company collection by Heidi Swapp! In my last post, I gushed about the line and how I couldn’t get enough. That is still the case–the colors and patterns are so unique and lovely! My favorite piece of this collection is the ephemera pack. You get so many pieces for a low price point, and it makes layering and embellishing so easy! Here are the layouts I’ve created:
I cut random diamonds out using an X-acto knife, and backed them with various patterned papers from the 6″x6″ pad. I used a few more 6″x6″ sheets and some ephemera for laying and embellishing! I completed the page by accenting three of the corners with a die cut from my Silhouette Cameo. Sheer washi along the edge of the page completed the look!
I love this sheet of paper and knew I wanted to use those circles for something special. I misted 9 doilies with light pink mist and adhered the circles to the middle. I arranged the doilies in a grid design on my paper, and placed punched hearts in between them to fill up the white space. I used the ephemera photo corners for two edges of the page, and two scrap pieces for the others. The 6″x6″ pad and ephemera pack made great layers for the center of my page!
