Destination Unknown Mixed Media Layout

Lysa here on the blog today sharing this mixed media layout using the 7 Dot Studio’s “Destination Unknown” collection. This layout is masculine yet full of color! I am completely in love with these papers because they are so rich and beautiful that you don’t need to do much with them to create an amazing layout.

For this layout the main background paper is “Journey” with a torn/distressed corner showing the “Celestial” paper underneath. I matted the photo by layering paper, fussy cut images, die cuts, stickers, and tags on top of one another.

I added some colorful green accents to match the grass in my photo by mixing modeling paste with Lindys Stamp Gang (LSG) Magicals in  “Aloha Avocado” and “Rusty Lantern Lime” and applying it to the paper using the chevron and circle patterns on the Destination Unknown Line Elements stencil.

I colored UmWowStudio’s nautical star chipboard using gesso and LSG’s “Azure Sea Asters” starburst spray. I decorated the page using various stickers and die cuts from the collection as well as some rhinestones from Queen & Co. The faux water drops are hot glue drops colored using LSG starburst spray in “Azure Sea Asters“.
